Fishing Adventures in Margaret River

Fishing Charters and Tours
- Legend Charters in Dunsborough is a 20 minute drive from Forest Rise and offers day charters for deep sea fishing. The crew members will help you catch, clean, and prepare your fish to take home. - Koomal Dreaming & Cape Cultural Tours in Yallingup is a 25 minute drive from Forest Rise and offers daytime fishing tours at Meelup Beach led by a Wadandi Cultural custodian. While walking across the pristine sandy beach and fishing from the coastline, you’ll be enchanted with historical stores of the Wadandi people. You’ll learn how the ancient population sought out, gathered, and hunted their food. You’ll learn how to prepare your fish and how to search for your own salad before enjoying a sit down lunch with your tour guide. Local beers are served with the meal. - Abbey Boat Ramp and Jetty in Busselton, WA is a 20 minute drive. It is suitable for all ages and has access to sandy beaches.
- Augusta Boat Ramp and Jetty in Augusta, WA is a 1 hour drive. It is suitable for all ages.
- Busselton Jetty and Beach in Busselton, WA is a 30 minute drive. It is suitable for older children, has fishing platforms, and is wheelchair accessible. The beach fishing is suitable for all ages.
- Canal Rocks Boat Ramp in Yallingup, WA is a 25 minute drive. It is suitable for older children, has a cement ramp, and has sheltered conditions from swells.
- Cowaramup Bay Boat Ramp and Beach in Cowaramup, WA is a 20 minute drive. It is suitable for older children. Small boats can only launch during calm conditions.
- Old Dunsborough Boat Ramp and Jetty in Dunsborough, WA is a 30 minute drive. It is suitable for older children and is wheelchair accessible.
- Gracetown Boat Ramp in Gracetown, WA is a 25 minute drive. It is suitable for older children.
- Hamelin Bay Boat Ramp and Beach in Hamelin Bay, WA is a 1 hour drive. Beach fishing is excellent for all ages with calm waters and sheltered areas.
- Prevelly Boat Ramp in Prevelly, WA is a 35 minute drive. It is suitable for older children.
- Quindalup Boat Ramp, Jetty, and Beach in Quindalup, WA is a 30 minute drive. The boat ramp and beach are suitable for all ages. The jetty is suitable for older children because it is narrow and can be slippery.
Beach Fishing
- Boranup Beach in Boranup, WA is a 1 hour drive. The beach fishing is suitable for all ages. Fishing in the deeper channels is suitable for older children.
- Bunker Bay in Dunsborough, WA is a 35 minute drive. The beach is accessible using the boardwalk and is suitable for all ages.
- Castle Rock in Naturaliste, WA is a 30 minute drive. It has public facilities, a BBQ, picnic areas, and it is suitable for all ages.
- Eagle Bay in Naturaliste, WA is a 30 minute drive. This bay is great for both beach and rock fishing, and it is suitable for all ages.
- Injidup Point Beach in Yallingup, WA is a 25 minute drive. The best fishing location is the tall sand dune at the southern end of this dramatic beach setting. It can be dangerous during large swells and is suitable for older children.
- Kilcarnup Beach in Burnside, WA is a 40 minute drive. This area is slightly remote and is only accessible by 4-wheel drive vehicles and is unpatrolled. You can drive on the white sandy beach. Because of the remote location, it is suitable for older children.
- Meelup Beach in Naturaliste, WA is a 30 minute drive. This beach is excellent for both beach and rock fishing, and it is suitable for older children.
- Moses Rock Beach in Wilyabrup, WA is a 25 minute drive. This area is slightly remote and is only accessible by 4-wheel drive vehicles. There is a long walk from the parking space to the beach. Because of the remote location, it is suitable for older children.
- Point Piquet Beach in Naturaliste, WA is a 30 minute drive. This beach is excellent for both beach and rock fishing, and it is suitable for older children.
- Redgate Beach in Redgate, WA is a 40 minute drive. This beach is ideal for Australian Salmon in the day time and for Mulloway at night. Daytime fishing is suitable for all ages. Nighttime fishing is suitable for older children.
- Smith Beach in Yallingup, WA is a 20 minute drive. This is a beautiful, long, sandy beach with powerful shore breaks. It is suitable for older children.
- Sugarloaf Rock in Naturaliste, WA is a 40 minute drive. This is a favorite local fishing spot accessible to all vehicles. Fishing is only recommended during calm conditions. It is suitable for older children.
- Toby’s Inlet in Quindalup, WA is a 20 minute drive. This sandy beach also has a seasonal open river-mouth, and it is suitable for all ages.
- Wyadup Rocks in Yallingup, WA is 25 minute drive. This is a location with lots of rock and can be slippery. It is suitable for older children.
- Yallingup Beach in Yallingup, WA is a 20 minute drive. This popular beach offers a number of fishing options that include inner tidal pools, a reef, and a beach with rushing waters from a lagoon. Fishing is recommended only on calm days. It is suitable for all ages with close parental attention.
